Starwood is located in South East Queensland, one hour south of Brisbane and one hour west of the Gold Coast.

The farm has purpose built infrastructure with extensive yards and housing facilities for the welfare of the stock. The property is divided into large paddocks with ample shade trees. The paddocks range from mildly undulating hills covered with drought tolerant native pasture to wide creek flats planted with improved pasture species.

The introduced farm animals share their home with a large number of native fauna, including kangaroos, wallabies and turtles, which makes living on this property a delight. So friendly are some of the wallabies that one family has been christened "The Gate Wallabies", as the main gate is one of their favourite territories. The large Spotted Gums and Ironbark trees are home to many species of parrots and birds and our own resident koalas.
